This video shows how and where I use VBA (Visual Basics for Applications) in Microsoft Dynamics GP to save me TONS of time. I built this script MANY years ago and I still cannot live without it. It copies whatever I enter of the “Paid To” or “Received From” line to the “Description Line.

These little beauties can save you time on month-end Entries, if using 1 allocation account each month saves you 2 minutes a month, that’s 24 minutes a year.
I’ll take those 24 minutes and add them to my “40 hours a year” saving quest, which takes me to savings of 371 minutes a year (6.18 hours) with the first 3 entries alone!

Both Microsoft Dynamics GP Payables Vendors and Microsoft Dynamics GP Receivables Customers can have 2 user defined fields setup in Microsoft Dynamics GP “Out of the box.” User Defined field 1 can even be used in sorting on options on GP reports.
